Welcome

Welcome to this website, which is maintained by Pontyclun Community Council. The Council is made up of 10 Members and represents the communities of Brynsadler, Castell y Mwnws, Groesfaen, Miskin, Mwyndy, Pontyclun and Talygarn, which together make up the Community of Pontyclun.

Read about Community Council Meetings here. Meetings are now held on the Second Tuesday of each month at different venues throughout the whole community. To find out the location of the next meeting, please download the Meetings' Calendar or contact the Clerk on 01443 227094 or email him.

To book Pontyclun Community Centre, please contact the caretaker John Maloney on 01443 238970.

We want the site to become a community site and would like local groups, organisations and businesses to promote their activities here. Please email your details to  sarah@srj555@plus.com.

Pontyclun is an expanding group of villages set over the rivers Clun and Ely, in the southern-most part of Rhondda Cynon Taff CBC. The villages occupy a semi-rural setting between the former coal-mining Rhondda and Taff valleys to the north and the farm lands of the Vale of Glamorgan to the south.

We are located about 12 miles to the northwest of Cardiff, close to junction 34 of the M4, and there are regular bus and train services to the centre of Pontyclun.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any suggestions for improving this site and the Council's communications with the residents of our communities and beyond.
